Jazz For Life is a feature length-Documentary about Ski Johnson, a jazz saxophonist who discovered the Power of Marketing and how to Maneuver through the Good, the Bad and the Hidden Dangers to create success. For over 25 years Ski Johnson has released over 10 recordings, of which two albums hit #1 on the Billboard Charts and were considered for Grammy Awards in several categories on the Ballot. Ski Johnson has tried to come up with innovative ways to promote Jazz through his music, music videos and appearances from The Emmy Awards to The Grammy Awards 

There are many familiar faces to help tell this incredible story.

Jazz For Life Documentary is more than a story about Ski Johnson and his early diagnoses of Alopecia, being bullied or his many high profile appearances. It’s a story about a shy boy who through the love of Jazz music overcame these challenges. He went on to further explore Jazz music only to realize that there was no Jazz music being aired on the radio stations, T.V. Networks or Award shows. 95% of people when they think of Jazz music they tend to think small as it relates to the listening audience. It is this very mindset that is hurting Jazz musicians all over the world and they find it hard to see themselves with the type of success that many of the rock, pop or rap artist have. As a result Ski Johnson came up with ingenious ways to “brand and market” Jazz music and himself to the mainstream media and audiences everywhere. This was very unusual and unheard of for a Jazz musician to do and would ultimately lead to major controversy with him.
